Interior design trends 2026 has been buzzing in searches for a while, and although I don’t believe in trends as a rule, I do *love* noticing the common threads I’m seeing in spaces these days. Lately, I find myself drawn to those that feel soulful, layered, and truly personal. This year, for me, feels more like it’s about more than surface aesthetics. It’s a shift in focus about spaces that reflect the people living in them and the moments they gather around. Here are a few interior design moments I’m loving now, and forever.

Check out my interior design trends post for 2025, 20242023202220212020201920182017 & 2016.
While all of them were most definitely in the spotlight that year,
I still subscribe to many!

LAYERS OF FABRIC, NEAR & AROUND BEDS

Think curtains, canopy beds, and bold fabrics. Bedrooms are becoming even cozier sanctuaries, with personality that feels both elevated and intimately yours. A fun, yet elegant, way to infuse some personality.

SKIRTS – MORE LAYERS!

Skirts aren’t just for fashion. From sinks to sofas, layered detailing adds softness and visual intrigue that makes rooms feel finished and charming.

CREATIVE ARCHWAYS

Interior architecture continues to have its moment. Curved entryways, built-in storage with gracious doors, and intentional shapes make transitions feel thoughtful and architectural.

MARBLE IN A BIG WAY

Design: W Design Collective | Photography: Lauren Lee Photo

Marble isn’t just for countertops and floors. Lately I’m noticing it in bolder and bolder ways. Clad kitchen islands, bathrooms, matching door casings, or intricate backsplashes… it’s being used boldly and beautifully as a material anchor.

Overall, what I’m loving most isn’t a checklist. It’s the continued return of thoughtful detail, layers of texture, and spaces that feel more and more like you.

*really* good HOLIDAY HOME TOURS

This year, they’ve been in the thick of building a stunning new home, and I can’t wait to see how they transform it for the holidays when they’re ready. For now, I’m drawing inspiration from the coziness of their space last year. Their thoughtful touches, from soft textures to twinkling lights, to the prettiest wrapping paper (ever?) remind me that the holiday season is about creating moments that feel intimate and magical.

As I sprinkle garlands, hang ornaments, and light candles, I find joy in curating a space that feels personal yet festive. Love making each corner feel warm and welcoming and drawing inspiration along the way.

There’s something endlessly inspiring about moody modern interiors. Spaces that strike that rare balance between depth and approachability. This New York home by JDP Interiors does just that and then some. Every corner feels intentional yet unforced, like the rooms have quietly evolved over time rather than being designed all at once.

MORE DREAMY HOME TOURS RIGHT HERE

The kitchen and powder room, in particular, had me pausing mid-scroll. Rich textures, layered neutrals, and just the right touch of edge. Think sleek stone, unexpected metals, and a hint of softness via cozy textiles. It’s cozy but modern, lived-in but luxurious. The kind of home that feels as good as it looks.

I love that nothing here feels “too perfect,” yet it’s exactly perfect all the same. Proof that moody modern interiors aren’t just about darkness and drama. They’re about soul, texture, and a quiet confidence that makes you want to stay awhile.

From the moment you step inside this California modern home, you’re greeted with quiet elegance and layers of soft, natural light. Rachel Madden brings us a serene retreat that feels both grounded and luxurious. I’m so inspired by the way the architecture frames the views and how each vignette feels lived-in yet elevated.

Neutral textiles, warm woods, and thoughtful texture pair beautifully here. Layers of beautiful textiles, and an artful mix of modern and vintage finds, the palette whispers, never shouts. And yet every corner has a moment to pause.

If house envy is real, this is it. I love how the dining nook feels intimate, the living room invites lingering, and the bedrooms read like a calming retreat. I encourage you to sit back, take a moment, and soak it all in below.
